Tri Core 1.5 GHz Processor for Mobile device by Marvell

Marvell Technology has announced their mobile processor, ARMADA 628  which is the first in the world with a speed of
1.5 GHz and the Tri-Core. It delivers dual stream 1080p 3D video and 3D graphics performance.

It incorporates a number of advanced processing and power management features. The tri-core design integrates two high performance symmetric multiprocessing cores and a third core optimized for ultra low-power. The third core is designed to support routine user tasks and acts as a system management processor to monitor and dynamically scale power and performance. The tri-core architecture provides superior performance and lower power over dual-core designs while maintaining industry compatibility and leadership — ensuring a richer, faster and smoother experience than any other ARM-based processor available today.

Key Features
  • World's first "tri-core" application processor
    • Up to 1.5 GHz for the two main cores and 624 MHz for the third low power core
    • "Heterogeneous  multiprocessing" with "hardware-based Cache Coherence"
    • 1 MB System Level 2 Cache
    • Platform leading multimedia capabilities, including support for both WMMX2 and NEON acceleration; and a highly optimized pipelined VFPv3 floating point engine
    • Member of the ARMADA family of processors for easy software porting
  • 1080p dual stream 3D video applications (30 FPS, multi-format)
  • Ultimate 3D graphics performance with quad unified shaders for 200 million triangles per second (MT/s)
  • High performance, integrated image signal processor (ISP)
  • Ability to project images on multiple simultaneous displays
    • 2 LCDs
    • 1 HDMI
    • 1 advanced EPD controller

ID Based Calling System - BE project

This post is not a techbuzz. It’s about my experience with engineering final year project. My PL(Exam preparation leave) is goin on and I have nothing to do so thought of writing this post.
It all began with selecting team mates and searching project topics. Making group was fairly easy but finding out what project to do was really hectic. We were a group of three: Me(Hetul Gabani)-coder, Binny Chauhan -Uml n documentation expert, and Shashank Nirmal - CS pro n addict, though he was a bit laggy in doin project work but eventutally he ended up doin some quality work. With the help of my friend chetan we finalized on topic that is "IDBCS - ID Based Calling System". Well I'l skip the technical part and discuss the non technical aspect of the journey.First half of the final year passed away without bothering about the project and with "aarey baad me dekhlenge" attitude .It was the 2nd half when we actually started thinking of how to implement the project and setting our priorities. Here the interesting thing begins- Our BE trip to GOA.I was all set for fun ride but sadly chicken pox attacked me and my trip became a dream.Entire week was at home having nothing to do, this was the time when our actual project implementation was  inaugurated. Slowly we progressed and finally we had a working project ready. Entire project was completed in a month and half. It should be called "Final Month Project" instead of Final year project. It was a great learning experience.
If you are interested check out audio visual demontration of the project.U'l find in technical stuff about the project.

If you have any doubts n queries about your final year project please DONT contact us.Only COUNTER STRIKE queries are welcomed, we have some real pros here.

Make VOIP calls via Google Voice

Google has launched (not yet in India) a Gmail-integrated VoIP (voice over Internet Protocol) client that would allow users to make phone calls directly from the browser.

The feature is different from the voice and video chat that is already available from Gmail using the chat feature, in that it isn't solely between chat users. Instead, the new feature allow users to call any type of phone directly from their Web browser.
For those users seeing the test of the new product, the ability to make phone calls is added directly to the Google Talk popup that appears in the lower right corner of the Gmail screen, offering a keypad, a call history, and a credit balance. According to the screenshots from CNET, Google will offer free calls within the U.S. and Canada, with cheap international calling, in 2010.

If you are a Gmail user in the U.S., you can now make free Web-based phone calls to any phone in the U.S. and Canada right from the Gmail interface. You can also make International calls for fees starting at $0.02 per minute.

Simplest way to remove all hyperlinks in a MS Word document.

When you copy any content from Internet to your MS Word document , you may find that there are a lot of hyperlinks, which you may want to delete.
So how to remove this hyperlinks? Simply right-click them one by one and choose “Remove hyperlink“, but this method is too time consuming and not feasible to remove large number hyperlinks.

To remove all hyperlinks at once there are two ways:
Direct Way:
      • Press “Ctrl + A” to select all content.
      • Press “Ctrl + Shift + F9

      • Done!

With this method the job is easy but the problem is that Formatting remains the same. So it still gives a hyperlink look to the content. To over come this there is a alternate indirect method.

Indirect Way:
As we know that Word pad does not support hyperlinks. So to remove Hyperlinks:

• First copy the content in Word pad.

Then copy the content from Word pad to MS Word Document.

• All hyperlinks will be removed and the formatting will be uniform through out the document.
•Done!

Google announces new "GOOGLE TV" platform.

Google TV is a new experience made for television that combines the TV you know and love with the freedom and power of the Internet. Watch an overview video below, sign up for updates, and learn more about how to develop for Google TV.
It is supposed to bring  "the web to your TV and your TV to the web".

What actually Google TV is?

Google TV isn't a single product -- it's a platform that will eventually run on many products, from TVs to Blu-ray players to set-top boxes. The platform is based on Android, but instead of the Android browser it runs Google's Chrome browser as well as a full version of Flash Player 10.1. That means Google TV devices can browse to almost any site on the web and play video. It also means that Google TV devices can run almost all Android apps that don't require phone hardware. You'll still need to keep your existing cable or satellite box, however -- most Google TV devices won't actually have any facility for tuning TV at launch, instead relying on your existing gear plugged in over HDMI to do the job.
All Google TV devices will have remotes with some form of QWERTY keyboard, and you'll be able to use Android phones as remotes as well.

Cloud Printing - A Concept by Goolge

According to Cloud Printing concept every new printer will soon support the Google Cloud Print protocol. Under Google's model, these cloud-aware printers will be standalone devices with an Internet connection. Older printers, in Google's vision, will be able to access these cloud-based printing services through a proxy on a desktop computer. This proxy will - at some point in the future - ship with the Google Chrome browser.
simple_diagram_see_text

The goal is to build a printing experience that enables any app (web, desktop, or mobile) on any device to print to any printer anywhere in the world.

Once every printer is cloud-enabled, Google envisions that users will simply connect their printers to the Internet, register, and start printing from Chrome OS or any other service that supports this new and open protocol.

There are obviously some obstacles to its actual implementation, but it’s an amazing idea. If print jobs are handled in the cloud you won’t need drivers, and most of the problems users have with printing from devices like smartphones and tablets will be solved.

Here's the details of working of the mode
