Simplest way to remove all hyperlinks in a MS Word document.

When you copy any content from Internet to your MS Word document , you may find that there are a lot of hyperlinks, which you may want to delete.
So how to remove this hyperlinks? Simply right-click them one by one and choose “Remove hyperlink“, but this method is too time consuming and not feasible to remove large number hyperlinks.

 To remove all hyperlinks at once there are two ways:
► Direct Way:
      • Press “Ctrl + A” to select all content.
      • Press “Ctrl + Shift + F9”



      • Done!

With this method the job is easy but the problem is that Formatting remains the same. So it still gives a hyperlink look to the content. To over come this there is a alternate indirect method.

►Indirect Way:
As we know that Word pad does not support hyperlinks.So to remove Hyperlinks:

• First copy the content in Word pad. 

 

• Then copy the content from Word pad to MS Word Document.

• All hyperlinks will be removed and the formatting will be uniform through out the document.
•Done!

MSXML error during installation of MS Office 2010.

Recently Microsoft released the “Beta Microsoft Office 2010” . When I tried it to install on Windows XP, but it gives and error message saying that please install MSXML 6.10.1129.0 blah blah..blah…. If anyone of you facing this problem then here is the solution for it.

Many peoples are saying that the latest version of MSXML may be harmful for other programs installed on your Windows.  It is used as testing by "Microsoft Corporation", and for installing in those PC that are experiencing the first MSXML 6.10.1129.0 as uncompleted. If you desire to setup MSXML 6.10.1129.0 safely for Office 2010. Only you have to do is install ".Net framework 3.5" will automatically updated your MSXML.
So if you have installed old version of .NET like 2.0 then you must install 3.1 version first then you can able install .NET framework 3.5 easily and that’s it. 

Tweak Windows7 - Reduce hangup time on welcome screen.

Many of the Windows 7 users complain that their system hangup on welcome screen for long time.
If you set a solid color background instead of a picture or a wallpaper, your system will hang for 30 seconds during the logon process. It is a limited yet huge problem.

Instead of fixing this problem manually, Microsoft has provided a small to application to get rid of this glitch.
The application is called HOTFIX.

Windows 7 : How to create Adhoc Network in Windows seven Starter Edition.

Windows7 Starter edition dodn’t have an option for setting up an Ad-Hoc network in the Network and Sharing Center.

On Microsoft product page it is stated that ad-hoc connection is not available in Windows 7 Starter edition. But as it all turns out, you can in fact use the ad-hoc network in Starter edition.

Microsoft has promoted Windows 7 Starter edition in a bizarre way. Sure, it is a stripped down version of Windows 7 most suitable for netbooks but saying that it can’t create or be part of ad-hoc network is stupid and misleading.

Most guides, including the one we wrote here, ask users to head over to the Network and Sharing Center and then set up ad-hoc network. But the ad-hoc shortuct is missing from Windows 7 Starter edition(see screenshot below).

If you are using Windows 7 Starter, you are licensed to use the ad-hoc network but NOT licensed to use the ad-hoc network shortcut inside Network and Sharing Center. Read the sentence again, we are talking about ‘ad-hoc network’ and the ‘ad-hoc network shortcut’ inside Network and Sharing Center. So Microsoft is actually confusing the hell out of novice users.

Want to set up ad-hoc network? Simply head over to Start Search, type adhoc, and hit Enter. This will open up the Ad-hoc Network connection wizard. Simple as that.

Visual search in Bing.

Bing has just launched a new feature called Visual Search where you can search stuff with the mouse without having to any text queries.

For instance, you can open the book section, scroll through the popular book covers (they are sorted by name by default) and then narrow the search results based on the author name, the category of the book or even the length (number of pages). You can further sort this resultset based on the book’s release date or the sales rank of that book.
Bing’s Visual Search includes an awesome interface for finding apps for your iPhone or iPod Touch without firing up the iTunes Apps store.
Go to Top iPhone Apps, narrow down your search results by category (Productivity, Games, Office, etc), choose whether you are looking for free app or paid ones (and if so, you can also specify the price range) and there you have all the apps that you may be looking for.

Frolic tech: Microsoft Surface Computer

Its not often these days that you see a piece of technology that makes your draw drop, yet Microsoft have done that to me with Microsoft Surface. If there�s a better piece of gadget eye candy I�d like to see it
Microsoft Surface is a touchscreen computer that allows you to interact with pieces of digital content as if they were physical objects on the table - to move, expand and even transfer content between physical devices, to create a music play list through drag and drop using your fingers. It even recognizes physical objects on the table and allows you to interact with them, from a wifi camera to a beer glass (so you can order another).
