Canon's New Printer Selphy ES40

Canon's Selphy ES 40 is the company's first compact photo printer with voice guidance which talks you through the printing process. Its 3.5-inch color LCD allows a preview and editing of images before they are printed.

With ink and paper in one cartridge, ES 40 will allow users to print borderless images in Credit Card and Postcard sizes, in color or black and white that will be water-resistant and last up to 100 years, says Canon.

The printer also offers printing options like Speech Bubbles, Stamps, Frames and Effects to customize images. Plus, the optional Gold and Silver ink takes creativity to all-new heights. The Portrait Image Optimize feature claims to automatically detect faces, along with offering backlight correction and noise reduction.

Photographs can be printed directly from compatible memory cards, cameras and Bluetooth mobile devices. One can even print from a compatible power outlet with the built-in AC Adapter.

Alternatively, ES40 can be equipped with an optional Bluetooth adaptor, allowing users to wirelessly print images from a mobile phone.

The Canon Selphy has been priced in India at Rs. 13,995.
